This bubbly cocktail of electro, pop and indie is perfect for a summer afternoon. At a barbecue, where its lack of depth is disguised by the clinking of bottles and the sizzling of sausages.

The debut album by Bristol-based quartet Poppy Perezz, We Are Yours is a pleasant but forgettable jaunt through ten playful melodies and bouncy beats that sound a bit Lily Allen and a bit Yamaha keyboard auto-rhythm.

It’s impossible to pick a favourite track, because – dressed in slightly varied arrangements involving a trumpet, a guitar and a synthesiser – they all sound rather alike.

This record will require plenty of sunshine if it’s ever going to survive.
